A big group holiday with dogs is one of the harder things to book: there's far less large dog-friendly stock than small, and the size of the cottage tells you nothing about how many dogs it allows — a farmhouse for ten may still cap at two. So this page gathers the larger cottages we've verified as dog-friendly, sleeping eight or more, with the dog limit confirmed for each.

How many dogs can a large group cottage take?
Often the same low cap as a small cottage — and that's the catch worth checking. A farmhouse that sleeps ten may still only allow two dogs, because the limit is set on cleaning and wear, not floor space. So two families sharing can't assume four dogs are fine. Each cottage's max-dog number is on its full review; confirm it covers your whole party before you book, and ask the owner if you're over the stated cap.
Are large dog-friendly cottages good value for groups?
Usually yes — split across several households, a big cottage often works out cheaper per head than separate smaller ones, and you only pay one (per-stay) pet supplement rather than several. The headline nightly rate looks large, but the per-family maths is favourable, especially off-peak. Booking early matters more here: there's far less large dog-friendly stock than small, so the good ones go first for school holidays.
Do they have enclosed gardens big enough for several dogs?
Varies, and it's worth checking for a multi-dog group. Some of these are farmhouses with proper enclosed grounds; others have a smaller garden relative to the indoor space, or a boundary with a caveat.
